  • Hideout Heights is your gateway to the Gulf’s fishing treasures. Offshore enthusiasts will find easy access to abundant grouper and red snapper populations on the live bottom, alongside wrecks that hold good numbers of large cobia and amberjack. The area is also known for its impressive hogfish catches and mangrove snapper catches on the shallower reefs.

Closer to shore, the inshore fishing scene is super good.

  • With oyster bars, grass flats, and channels that are home to trout, redfish, snook, and seasonal tarpon. Our location provides the perfect launchpad for both inshore excursions and offshore adventures.
    The Middle Grounds.  If you’re headed far offshore, we are the closest point to the Middle Grounds.  Make your 90 mile run a bit shorter from our dock.

  • If you’re interested in spearfishing or diving Yankeetown, Crystal River, or Inglis, our best diving starts about about 20 miles out.
    We have awesome shipwrecks, and natural structure that makes for great diving and spearfishing.  There are enough interesting things to see that just diving here without even thinking about shooting fish is still pretty fun.

Complimentary Fishing Gear

  • If you need some fishing basics, we have you covered.  We have some rods and reels in the second room closet you are welcome to use.  They are 4000 level Shimano and Penn spinning reels.  We just ask that you take care of it and rinse it with fresh water when you’re done.  This way, there is equipment available for the next guest.
